Hardline calling out SMU students
Saying they don't go to the game.
Can't argue with the facts.

Re: Hardline calling out SMU students
Student attendance has been good in the second quarter in both games this year. It's showing up late and leaving early that is the problem, but that has to do with the product on the field

Re: Hardline calling out SMU students
factually incorrect.
our students turn out in a great percentage then any other student body in the state of texas, except for maybe A&M.
there are only 6000 total. we get half of them, sometimes more.

Wrong TCU easily beats us and so does Baylor-among just the private schools

Even called out the band, saying we wear suits that need laundering, and that we should have used a football player or two in pads to help fill out the members.

Re: Hardline calling out SMU students
Headline is kinda inaccurate.
It was closest thing to a total takedown of the program/department I've heard in a while in a media outlet. A lot of the things discussed on here, but interesting to see outsiders notice it.
Discussed lack of Dallas interest dating to Texas Stadium days.
Corby mentioned small student body so small alumni base so you have to have Dallas involved.
Asked when the situation will ever change.
Trashed the atmosphere inside the stadium but said Blvd was great.

Re: Hardline calling out SMU students
Baylor has 13,000 undergraduates - TCU has about 8500
so Stallion you are saying you think there are more then 6500 STUDENTS at a Baylor game and more then 4800 STUDENTS at a TCU game. You are wrong sir.
point is we do pretty well on a percentage basis - we are just small.

Corby also claimed that TCU had a top 20 tailgating scene.....

Re: Hardline calling out SMU students
tcu tailgating is not even close to top 20. parking lot tailgating is not great.
5k tcu students is about what we have percentage-wise.

I was so disgusted about the band comment I wrote on their wall. They already deleted it.
Re: Hardline calling out SMU students
quickest way to upset folks on this board is to say anything about the band

Re: Hardline calling out SMU students
according to this older survey of top 50 programs, TCU rated No. 1 in student % attendance and Baylor rated No. 4. I wonder anybody disputing the Baylor numbers possibly went to the SMU/Baylor game-that was a sea of students that took about 3 minutes to run the field-and I think those are mostly freshman
