Cole Beasley Inactive ?

Post by GiddyUp »

Inactive yesterday. Hurt or what? I guess he has no chance of playing now with Ogletree playing ok and Harris sometimes gets some reps.

I was wondering the same. At least once or twice a week I've been looking for some info about his status. Would love to know.

2 things work against him-the Cowboys hate playing free agents over draft picks and he gets open too much.

He has been inactive the last two games. His inability to play on special teams is the major reason. He is not hurt.

Kelvin played this past weekend. Came in at right tackle for a few plays.

Sent from planet Vegeta.
SMU took a chance on me. I'll never turn my back on it.

His position on Special Teams seems to be the same one that Dez Bryant plays..

He only had 4 punt returns in college. You can't say that is his position. He doesn't play special teams. It's hard for any backups to make the active roster if you don't contribute on special teams. That's one thing Zach Line has going for him going in to next year.

Don't get lost in the true picture fans...he is making some big weekly paychecks and is on the 53 man roster. How many guys from Little Elm can say that. Don't forget how Sterling Moore bounced around the pracice squads and could have given up but instead kept up and ended up not only starting but also making the key play in the victory over the Ravens to get the Patriots to the Super Bowl. Some of you are so negative. If Beasley was playing you would say but he doesn't start and if he started you would say but he doesnt lead the team in catches and if he led the team in catches you would say yea but he doesnt lead the league in catches and if he led the league in catches you would say yea but he didnt make all pro and win the super bowl and if he did you would say but he probably wont make the hall of fame and if he does you will say but he didnt break Jerry Rice's records and if he does........That is the life of an athlete. How many of you would trade places with Beas and give up your mundane existence at your desk for a year in the NFL at age 23?

Easy there tiger, i think all of us would really like him to succeed. I think they should give him a shot in the anemic offense the cowboys have.

I'm not sure if anyone was being negative at all towards Beas or anything else in this thread. Simply just stating the reality of the position CB is in. I would love to see him get some burn this year.

His position would be PR, what else would it be on ST?

If Austin goes down with any kind of injury and misses games, Beasley will be in the slot.
