that's the great thing about rivalry games. More often than not, the underdog plays all out because they feel disrespected. Obviously that game made TCU's season and really put a damper on ours. I remember the game at Ford when we beat you guys coming off your big win over OU. Might have been your only loss that entire season? Last year's TCU game...along with the bowl win against Pitt...were the highlights of our season.

Please, CP....don't say we will play "all out"...

Good grief Stallion you goofball...I worry about things within my control. Unlike you I don't live in some fantasy land and pretend to be some football guru from behind an internet screen. I trust and leave it up to people that have and do make millions of dollars in football...that actually walk the walk...as in make their living in football. You on the other hand read up on the internet and then pretend you know more than people who make millions from football...but you don't and couldn't make a nickel coaching, playing, or running a football organization.

Don't know 'bout no radicalism, but I do know you're one arrogant negative SMU bashing son-of-gun! It's sad and pathetic, because you're obviously a bright guy, but fatally flawed by a negative persona. I've seen you, I know who you are, do you ever smile? Ever laugh with people?

Backtrack? From what? Supporting a coach while he brought SMU back from the dead?
It seems like you enjoyed your trip to Hawaii courtesy of one June Jones and as well your trip to watch SMU spank Pitt in last year's bowl game. How many bowl games did you enjoy the last 15 years before June Jones arrived?
I was and am on board with June Jones as long as he is turning SMU around from the dark ages, as long as we are bowl bound, and improving.
June Jones turned this program around. Is he the coach for forever and ever at SMU? Who knows. I doubt it. In most cases ..win or lose coaches don't stay long.
As I told you last week....it's not really brain surgery....if we are winning I support June Jones.....if we are not winning and head in the wrong direction I won't support June Jones.
You didnt support June Jones win or lose.....that speaks volumes.
You're just bitter because you have not been on board from the start with June Jones..... But he turned the program around, had a big impact on SMU getting into a better conference and you and your ego hated every minute of it....because you were proven wrong..
Stallion wrote: All those criticisms of SMU's recruiting strategies, priorities and Coaching Staff makeup all starting to make a lot more sense now-huh?
Not really.....I will take those three straight bowl seasons over where we were any day.
capiche? "Mr. We Oughtta Hire Todd Dodge does that makes more sense now-huh?

Wow....stallion is going to need therapy after this takedown....that being said, self-fulfilling prophesies are real and sometimes the negativity from some fans is bull[deleted]. Why are the Aggies still sitting pretty after the utter failure that was the Big 12 years? Fans and a belief that things can get better. As soon as we start having more haters than believers, it wouldn't matter if urban Meyers was our coach. We'd lose
Ha! yeah that's real takedown. Since June Jones was hired my season predictions are actually higher than June Jones victory total by 3 games. In the last 3 years I am 1 game under June Jones victory total. (Of course, we could always pull up some of the recent Preseason Prediction threads-that ought to be good for a laugh). I spent 10 years stating in no uncertain terms that when SMU evened the competitive recruiting Model that SMU would be competitive. Check. Never predicted a Bowl Game in the 19 years before 2008. Check. Not a single poster can dispute that a single SMU commitment has started a single game at the Division 1A level proving an even competitive recruiting Model. We lead Texas in non-qualifiers. SMU is beating up on teams that have no business even being in our league-Rice? UTEP? Tulsa? Tulane? and the rest of the former Junior Colleges on our schedule none of which have our tradition or heritage, financial support or facilities. Of course we are now kicking their [deleted]. On the other hand what's June Jones' record against teams with winning records? Its pathetic. Somebody the other day said 4-20 against teams finishing with winning records not including Baylor and A&M this year. And it ain't going to get much better with June Jones' recruiting strategies, priorities and geriatic coaching staff. Get used to it.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
the frogies that come on this board, I believe are fairly decent regarding their comments. my daughter was in the Mustang Band. a few years ago at TCU, in a driving rain, the band took the field without rain gear (the frog band had full rain gear). after the show the frog fans gave a resounding cheer and applause to the Mustang band. My daughter said the frog fans were much more respectable than say Houston, Tech, A&M where drunk fans taunted skinny band coeds showing off how thought they were. just saying. To the forgies, I envy TCU’s accomplishments and feel SMU has some degree of hope to emulate your success. I really do like to beat you guys and believe your last two loses at your field were against SMU. This makes a rivalry.

Hey bubba pony, I was a trombone player in that band and it was miserable that night but the on the first note of Birdland the TCU home side visibly recoiled because we blew them backward. We were wearing red jackets and the music in my pocket got stained red from the color of the jacket bleeding in to it.

Good gawd. Wow. He has turned the program around but has taken it as far as he can.....or wants to. Each additional year he stays will just be hurting the next head coach.
