Probably.
I honestly think he does this kind of thing intentionally just to get a reaction. He has to know he is under some fire from the fans and to not be wearing an SMU hat in his "final" interview before the biggest game of the year against your archrival is bizarre no matter how you slice it.
I personally don't really care, I just think it is strange.
To me what is disturbing ---his very first words. "It is like every other game." No wonder the team is flat and plays like the reflection of the coach.
From what little I know june looks at every game as a big game. Each game is important, but afterwards, time for the next one. He recognizes the importance of it for the kids. I just hope he instills a winning attitude.
I don't feel mind him wearing the Pats hat. It is a direct reminder of where his young charges have gone and what they have done. And yes, Sterling was in Dallas before the season and more than likely gave june the hat.

Still there as the first post of this thread.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
