Yes good point!..TCU was keying on Line and he needed help...put Wembley in to block for Line as a FB and use a quick RB as a change of pace...but no. We know the OL is a little weak on run blocking schemes and its was exposed with TCU's game plan. June doesn't know how to adjust..he is too stubborn...Fatterson out coached him...the dropped passes happened and those kids CAN catch a football, the dropped passes continued because June and Phillips did not have them ready last night and were the result of NOT having the kids prepared mentally to play last night ....or any other night.

Too effing predictable.
Every other team in the country goes under center from the one yard line until the ball is in the end zone or you turn it over on downs. Maybe, MAYBE, on second or third down you try a play action pass to the flat. But I guess that only works when you have tight ends.... Fact is, Gilbert didn't have time to throw the ball because the routes take so freaking long to develop, AND THEY ONLY HAVE ONE YARD TO GAIN!!
So frustrating I couldn't even talk to my wife about it last night. I would have thrown something through the window.
That one series should be enough to wrap up JJ's career at SMU. But it won't be, because we will slaughter the sheep that make up C-USA and somehow make it to a 14th game.
Don't be so sure it won't be us getting slaughtered.

Our O line obviously cant straight ahead run block very well, but they might have a chance to seal off their man if somebody could hit the corner. zach is a workhorse but you have to mix it up, our Oline and zachs abilities are not compatible.
This is huge and I've never understood why we don't have another Shawnbrey type in addition to Jared)> it breaks things up and keeps the defense on their toes. No, instead Zach who is great but who plays special teams, run blocks, runs and plays essentially every single down...apparently KC is in the doghouse. Just think about that 2009 team - ES, AR, CB, and TW with Shawnbrey and Zach - and Sterling Moore and McCann? -- digest that for a second.

i think TCU ends up dropping games to UT, OSU, KSU, OU Baylor and Tech. They are not very good - which means we are probably losing to UTEP, Tulsa and UCF at minimum. Those that think we walk through CUSA with this team are dreaming.

Looking back it's hard to believe we peaked in year 2.

I seriously think we did peak. That was the best talent we have had and I don't see (with this class) it getting much better from now.

I think Wimbley is still patting his helmet to be taken out. He ran one play against Baylor, tapped his helmet and had not been on the field since.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
I wonder how many of these 'patsies' would keep their scholly if we get a Dykes or Smart as the coach next year. I could see a lot of attrition. I would really like to see what Mason could do with a good recruiting class and a top notch O hc.
