He threw one to end the game bringing the total to 5.
ohhh right thats right, well i discount that only because our team cant hurry it up and JJ burned a freaking TO with that stupid Onside kick... you thought he would have learned from last years A&M game...
I just have to ask... Why the sudden tolerance for interceptions after all of the hateful comments and name calling that you piled on McDermott last year because he threw a few? And say, how is your pal Padron doing at Eastern Washington?
The offense started to show life. We attacked the middle for the first time this year. So receivers were making reads and working routes they have not work except in practice. So don t' expect perfect routes.
G made some good throws and some less than good throws. However, throwing a 35 yard interception on 2nd and 17 isn't the worse thing. Remember if we don't pick up a first down, odds are out punt would yield much less than 35 yards. A 35 yard interception beats a 19 yard punt. GG didn't put the ball on the ground the first time (Line did). GG didn't get stuffed like a jalapeno line Line did on the 1 yard line. GG didn't get sacked because he missed his block on the goal line.
These offenses' problems go beyond one person. The good news is the O started to show life. The 86 yard scoring drive by the way was the longest and only long consistent drive of either team.

Not as bad as WR and QB in my opinion.
Given their lack of experience and injury issues I'd say OL is decent.

I am on the same page with you on that issue Topper.

Define a few... 16 WOW. GG having to deal with sh*t receivers wouldn't surprise me if he hit 16 as well. The difference is McDermott had awesome WRs. Inexcusable to throw 16 with those bada$$es. Pardon I don't pay attention to as I thought he's an idiot for giving up great education. Please tell me you see the difference between what is given to each QB.... Please for the love of SMU please see the difference lol

Watching McD last year was very painful. I feel like JJ tells his QBs not to run. GG's got some wheels and should utilize them
Again, what are basing that on?? His potential or results? I was never a big McDermott fan but the young man won. He led us over a MUCH better TCU defense last year and kept us in most games. So how is leading a team with 4 TDs, 9 INTs and 1-3 record sooo much better? While our OL hasn't blocked well for the run this year, GG has had time to make reads and get rid of the ball in the passing game. Some of his decisions and throws have been terrible and that's not on the WRs or the OL, that's on GG.
The defenses we're about to see are going to be much more forgiving than the Big XII Ds, hopefully GG can pull it together and led this team to a nice conference run.....but to say he is sooo much better than McDermott at this point is riduclous.

GG was making some bad reads. I saw at least two picks where he threw into double even triple coverage. In bad weather, you have to throw to the wide open guy. If there are none, you throw it to the first row in the stands.
GG is a HUGE problem. I have yet to see him pump fake once, look across the field, survey more than just his first assignment...the list goes on and on! His inability to read coverages and throw the ball accurately are certainly obvious shortcomings, but when you add to that the lack of any and all attempts to confuse the defense, or at least make them have to think about where the ball is going, he is aweful! From the moment he takes the snap to the moment he is intercepted, his eyes are on the first assignment. NEVER does he seem to scout the field. He throws to where is eyes began looking right at the snap, regardless of coverage. Receiveres...can any of these guys pick up a block...EVER? Not only do they all seem to be challenged catchers, they don't EVER help out Zack on a run (other than the occasional TE) These guys can't be playing based on "most talent" we have, but rather, must be playing based on scholarships paid. We need CHANGE! JJ, why does he run the same set over and over? Change it up!
