Non-conference schedule way too hard. Next year's is brutal too. We must ease up on the non-conference schedule. It does more harm than good playing BCS teams that have had bulit in advantages over us for 20 plus years. We should be 3-1 going into conference play and not 1-3. Team morale is low and fans are already losing interest. Attendance will be much lower with a team with a losing record midway through the season than a team with a winning record. People in the AD's office that are responsible for this mess should be fired or kicked really hard in the groin area.

I am curious why you are such a big June Jones defender given how much vitriol you tossed at Doherty.

Not if we win convincingly with a good offensive performance. Then there might be hope that this offense is trending upward and is prepared to challenge for a CUSA championship. If we're not challenging that by year 5, June has got to go.

Sounds like jj told him no real OOC games - just patsies that will make us look good. Guess that would leave out ULM, La tech etc. If we hurry maybe we can schedule UTSA before they can get competitive with us.

Looks like Coach Jones has an AD that has his ear. I do hope he puts more priority on the IPF as well.

Yes make OOC schedule easier with teams no one in Dallas wants to watch. Great idea. The good news is by playing TCU, Baylor, and A and M is that we really know how far away we are from being a top 25 team. We had a reality check and it is not pretty.

We have to think wins more than attendance. JJ did say on TXA 21 that the job of the AD is to get the team to 4-0 in OOC.

I support June Jones and think he has done a good job in getting us to 3 bowl games and winning 2 of them. I do not agree with how he handled the ASU fiasco and would not have been disapointed if SMU told him to leave. His ASU flirtation cost us a lot of recruits and other coaches are using it against him in current recruiting. I agree he needs to step it up in recruiting and hire younger assistants that are more aggressive in recruiting. I do not blame June for being 1-3. You cannot realistically expect us to beat Baylor and A&M when those schools have out recruited us for 20 years and had the benefits of being in a high profile BCS conference. We should of beat TCU and June's playcalling on the 1st and goal from the 1 was flatout awful and cost us a td. Wins and bowl games are much more important than trying to prove ourselves against programs that have been in BCS conferences for 20 years. I simply don't agree with the tough non-conference schedule - maybe after 5-6 straight bowl games but not now.
