I want to give him a hug after hearing all his interviews. Completely different feeling than after watching a June interview.

He is realistic about expectations this year. The team will play hard and get better. I think as fans that is all we can ask for this year, improvement on the court and a more exciting style.

They always are. We take for granted what we get here.

Seems like he tried to push LB into trying to predict the how the record would be this year by asking the same question 2 different ways. I am glad LB did not bite on that stuff.

Regardless of the record SMU has this year you have to like LB and his staff getting them going in the right direction.

Maybe he can give JJ some pointers...(note: not trying to drag this JJ argument up again, but seriously I think LB and JJ should consider putting their heads together on the best ways to sell SMU to recruits.)

Definitely a good point. Forget perceived level of effort, interest, etc.; the biggest difference I see between the two coaches is that LB knows his team is not BE ready and is working to rectify it. JJ's recruiting leads one to believe that either he thinks his level of players are BE competitive (which has been proven false all year), or getting ready for what is ahead is just not a priority (which is a MUCH bigger problem).
