Not true, actually. I'm not saying anything about his future. All I said was that he did, in fact, look very disappointed. To say this loss is upsetting is an understatement, and I'd be even more worried than I am now if he DIDN'T look disappointed.

No he is not ticked off because SMU and the players are a separate entity. June Jones is not a part of SMU, nor does he care about it. I like how all he really does is blame his players and never takes responsibility for this crap show he puts out there.

I can't believe he talked about how tough it is to come back to win, considering he was in the exact position to actually win the damn game and blew it. He's excuses are beyond irritating.

Are we having the happy hour this Tuesday? I might have to make an early break from work and go, just to see how pathetic his excuses are in front of the handful of loyal fans that we actually have.

Hopefully that is the last post game we ever seen of him as the head coach at SMU

Yep, he really looked like he could care less. Somewhat of a neutral look. Like you said it is kind of like SMU and the players are a separate entity.

Nice excuse but the Tulane kicker has only kicked 5 FG's total this year over 40 yards.....Tulane isn't a scoring machine. That stat is way overblown by June. Man up JJ.

Yeah plus they needed 76 yards to get a 40 yard FG if Line was stopped at the 1 or 66 yards for FG to get a 50 yard FG. As it was they only needed a similiar 65 yards for a TD. Plus you lose the chance to end the game. There's not much difference because you are usually giving them 25+ yards by kicking off

Looks like Memphis and Rice might be the only for sure wins one the schedule I guess.

Tulane was a for sure win too.

There are no for sure wins anymore. Not with this much inconsistency.

Pretty much sums up why, in year 5 of his tenure, Jones has done nothing to truly establish any positive momentum whatsoever for this program.

Rice will be a Loss. In Houston, after ripping off losses to maybe everyone else but Memphis, and it's not like rice at home has been kind over the years.

Exactly. And given that we have the NCAA record holder for blocked FGs on our team, I like our chances if we go for it. Run every play, take all the time off the clock you can, and then give them the ball deep. And even if they did get in position to get a FG, AND they made it, it still is only a tie and we go to OT with at least a chance of winning.

I honestly think June has gotten worse at play-calling since he arrived here. It's simply mystifying.

Yep, exactly. Doesn't make any sense. I just don't think the guy is all that bright quite honestly. He's not very intelligible during any interviews I've heard. Not quite sure why there's so much love out there for him in the general media.

one last thing-if they drive 66 yards for a long FG-they only tie but if they drive 65-75 yards for TD you lose. June left the door open when could have shut it and locked it
