We as fans and supporters of SMU are in a difficult position. Many of us believe it is time for a new HC, myself included, but in order for this to happen the team must fail. I don't think anyone wants to root for these young men to fail, I would hope not.
I do hope what has already taken place over the last several months will be enough evidence to convince the CofC, the A.D. and President Turner, it is time for a new HC.
Personally speaking I think it is in bad taste and a pretty poor reflection on someone who supports SMU, to openly cheer for them to fail. You are telling the young men who suit up every Saturday for SMU, you want them to lose. Complain about the coaches all that you want but don't come on here and post you "hope" SMU loses each week just so June Jones will be fired. That does not accomplish anything.
GO MUSTANGS!

This is all about the head Coach. It starts with recruiting. Then training the players, then game preparation of the team and lastly game planing and management. "This is what we do" doesn't cut it when what we do does not work. The on going excuse that it take a QB two years to learn the system and then no QB makes it past two years is suspect at best. Our coach has no offensive imagination. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results...this coach and his "system" are borderline insane. It is time for a change. Let the hawaiian god go home. His magic doesn't work here.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
