We do what we do vs a real game plan

Post by ponywhupp9202 »

We do what we do works pretty well if you are the 85 Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys of the 90's, etc,. Even though they lost, yesterday's Dallas Cowboy's game was a great game plan and pretty good execution. Impose your will on the other team and run it down their throats to eventually set up some passing plays; almost worked and got them a W. We do what we do works if you have superior talent and above average execution. We have neither. We have Z. Line, DJ, Margus, and a few above average linebackers on the plus side. From what little I have seen of Conner Preston he has superior accuracy, timing, and decision making ability to GG, but we'll probably never actually know because he will most likely transfer like most others. He can't throw a 94 mph fastball and have it bounce off a receiver's chest; who cares. June Jones does not game plan and every team we play knows exactly what's coming on the offensive side of the ball. It starts at the top and June did not have this team ready to play and the players looks mostly disinterested. Jones checked out during the ASU thing and has been going through the motions ever since. The players pick up on this vibe and are unintentionally playing to about the same level of Jones' enthusiasm for being here. I don't care if we win out. We need a new coach and an improved attitude to take us into the Big East.

In other words, we need what we need.

It is also my impression that JJ has lost interest and focus since the ASU fiasco. It is certainly reflected in our abysmal recruiting efforts and the quality of verbals for 2013. Total disaster.

What none of us understand, is that JJ's game plan is so complicated, advanced, and forward-thinking that none of us on here can understand it.

Neither can our players, however, it seems like opposing teams can and they do.
