Houston loses to ECU and UCF, but wins the rest. Possible. Tulsa loses to Houston and SMU, possible. SMU loses to UCF, probable, and wins the rest, possible. UCF ineligible. ECU loses one more Conference game. SMU rated above ECU in BCS standings. We play for the Championship at Ford. A guy can dream, can't he?

That's not really a sunshine scenario.... The real sunshine scenario is 8-4 hosting the Championship game at Ford.

I think it is very realistic we win out, except lose to UCF (we can't just get complacent and think we're just going to blow out Memphis and definitely Rice). I like our chances against USM and Tulsa at home.

And me and the fam will be vacationing in Hawaii baby!

UCF is eligible! They appealed the decision and while the appeal is in place they are eligible for a bowl game until it is decided upon (which will be after bowl season). Pretty smart for UCF to do so, huh?

Do we HAVE to beat them to play in the CUSA Championship game? They are in the other division. Don't we just have to win our division (so beat Tulsa, Memphis, and Rice and we're in, right?).

We won't win the division if we lose to UCF and Tulsa finishes with one conference loss (presumably to us), 7-1>6-2. We control our own destiny if we win out.

I believe the point was to get home field advantage.
