Re: NFL draft risers
He's always had the wheels but he's worked really [deleted] strength. His weight and bench is what will now get him drafted (people knew he was fast, but was he strong/thick enough for the punishing NFL). I hope he has a kick [deleted] combine. I wonder what his 40 will be. His bench should be impressive. He may be another one of those combine rockstars who see their draft status improve due to combine performance. At least I hope so.

Doesn't seem fast enough to me...what's his 40 time?

Not sure. Ask Piland.

Re: NFL draft risers
T-Reed is not the fastest or quickest LB on the team … BUT he’s fast and quick enough, and has all the other attributes you want in a LB at the next level. I also think they are being kind listing him at 6’, I would say he is more like 5’11’. I think T-Reed can be another Zach Thomas in the NFL … all he needs is the opp. I quit a long time ago trying to figure out scouts and the so called experts and what they see or don’t see in all sports. I don’t know if T-Reed gets drafted or not (late rounds if he does), but he will get an opp to come into camp for someone, and he’ll make the most of it and stick IMO.
With a combination of draft, free agents etc., I think SMU will have the most players getting a look an opp at the next level in 2013 than any year in a very long time. Not just the names/players we talk about non-stop either .. I think we might see some surprises.

I hope you're right about SMU players getting an opportunity to at least be looked at by the NFL. I hope even more of them get a spot on a team, drafted or not.
