This is great news. His size along with Kennedy should give us two very legit Big East bigs for our first season of conference play. Plus, who knows what sort of players Cannen and Blaise may be by the start of next season.

Next up... Keith Frazier (crossing fingers!)

Icon, you're right. If we can also land Frazier, we're looking very strong.

btw, for those of you who haven't had a chance to witness LB, his staff and this quickly improving roster at work, there's something special building in men's hoops. I just hope people don't expect too much out of this year's team but 2013 and moving forward will be A LOT of fun. The change in culture, talent and expectations are dramatically obvious.

Bam. This is the one we needed position wise. alot of things fall into place when you get a big man. I'm sure Frazier just got more interested in SmU too.

No matter what happens to football, at least we will get a few good years, and hopefully more, of bball glory

Maybe my math is a little fuzzy on this, but if we also land Frazier, do we have a Top 10 class?

You look at this totally objectively, there is no reason SMU can't be a dominate BB force for the foreseeable future. No school in this region has that claim. All have some degree of warts outside of UT. Our biggest shortcoming in FB is our lack of fan support, but that shouldn't be an issue with BB and Moody specifically. Plus I expect a nice solid alumni base that will travel well.

Honestly, have gone to maybe 6 or 7 SMU basketball games in my life (though did travel to Purdue for SMU's women's tourny team). Dad went to Kentucky and growing up had SMU for football on the mother's side and Kentucky for basketball on the father's side.

Haven't stepped inside Moody in 3 years, but already have 5 games set aside to attend this season. Not expecting much this year, but the entire culture of SMU basketball has changed in less than 7 months. It's crazy. Looking forward to seeing this program grow into what we all know what it (and football) can be.

This is fantastic news...we are getting loaded for next year. Might be a rough year this year but that is part of the process. Wish I lived in Dallas so I could get season tix...might have to get the weekend package
