Re: Official SMU/UCF Thread
How did we bottle up Murray at our place last year? I guess we got up big on them and they had to abandon the run to play catch up and Godfrey just wasn't the passer Bortles is. About to find out the character of this team. Will they lay down or fight through it?
Re: Official SMU/UCF Thread
tough to watch.

I've noticed our receivers tend to break the wrong way during post-catch runs too often.

Re: Official SMU/UCF Thread
Gilbert is rattled and has reverted back to the long windup, trying to fire everything 150 miles an hour. 8 straight incompletions to end the half after a very strong start.
Watch his release. When he is on, the release point is lower and a lot quicker. The end of that half, it is literally a windup.
the other thing that might impacting things is he was holding his hand on that last Td drive after taking a hit and hasn't completed a pass since.
Really surprised the defense is losing the battle at the line. Reed is really sacrificing and taking on blockers, but nobody is there to clean up. They are destroying us on the second level. Their RB is really good at reading things as well.

Does DJ have NFL hands? After reviewing rerun that last pass to DJ it should have been caught. His hand were simply not together causing the ball to twist in his hands. He also dropped a sure TD pass earlier.

We simply do not have top receivers. I though Dieter was to start; what happened??sbsmith wrote:ojaipony wrote:GG is not playing well, but he's got guys in his face every play, Holman broke the wrong way at least twice (one for a first down and another one for a potential big pickup) and DJ drops a perfect TD throw. He only carried the ball twice last year, we shut down the other back. The difference is we stacked the box and kept tight contain on Godfrey and he couldn't get the ball downfield.

correct- however those probs. are the result of poor coaching and even poorer recruiting.GiddyUp wrote:jj isnt botching punts and overthrowing peopleredpony wrote:does jj need a ticket to get on a return charter flight?
Re: Official SMU/UCF Thread
Sorry guys ...IMHO its on this stupid June offense...there are too many reads...give GG set plays with one option or two from the WR's and he is good. The Mouse Davis O is outdated and NO one runs this same [deleted]...June is stubborn and won't change....OVER AND OUT....
