But saying SMU fans are treated like 2nd class citizens is pretty silly. Its one of maybe 3 bars on this planet where you can sit surrounded by SMU fans for a game. Lord forbid the bars have to pay their bills by showing games on the actual TV with a fanbase that aren't a bunch of whiny little [deleted].
i have been to first and 10.... and while i like dutch as a message board poster, I was not a big fan of the treatment at first and 10. I actually had friends in from out of town and we left before the first half time because of the terrible service (i.e., smu fans were not getting the attention the big boy fans were getting.).
I've been to numerous games there over the years. service is sometimes slow, but no more than any other packed sports bar on gameday. guess we've had different experiences.
been to the 1st and 10 location in Lakewood location couple of times on a packed saturday service can be a little slow at times but no worse than any other place. Love the cheese fries and point burger

Here was my last 1st and 10 experience:

- My buddies and I go there late on a weeknight when it's pretty empty.

- We go to a part of the establishment where not one person is sitting and ask to have the channel changed to our game of choice, surely not ruffling anyone's feathers since there's no one else sitting anywhere near us.

- Five minutes later after we're settled in, the waitress demands we move because a guy sitting way over at the bar wants something else to be on that TV. The fact that he has a different TV eight feet from his face showing the game he wants to see is deemed to be of no consequence.

I've experienced slow as hell service there myself. I was primarily responding to the post about someone complaining about not streaming an internet feed instead of showing games on actual TV with actual fans in attendance.

Spread Eagle was a pleasant surprise and may be the future spot for future away game that aren't attended in person. Really fun place.

why do i find it had to believe that a waitress "demanded" that you move? asked? yes. demanded?
