Too early to root for Big East teams?I hope not because UConn is spanking #14 Mich St, 36-21 late in the 1st half. How is UConn not ranked?

Pretty sure they are ineligible for the tourney due to APR issues. Plus there are questions of program continuity since Calhoun left

Ohio State is not eligible to be ranked in football this year. Neither was USC while they were serving their probation.

Yes but the AP poll in football is an unofficial poll so the NCAA doesn't have much control over it. Not sure how it works in basketball, but that is how it is in football. That's why ESPN never uses AP poll numbers when putting the rankings of the teams on the screen.
