I don't believe there ever has been a report suggesting that Marks wasn't a full qualifier. Further, if he truly was a doubtful quaifier he probably wouldn't have gotten offers from schools like Vanderbilt, UCLA and Boston College which all have higher academic requirements.

Marks may not have been able to be admitted to SMU. Maybe if he gets grades this year at WSU those could transfer.

Will SMU ever lower its academic standards for student athletes.

He was a starter from day 1. Why on earth would he sit out a year to come here?
