We are fortunate to have Rich on our broadcasting team. He's fantastic to listen to, especially in basketball

Could not agree more. He obviously enjoys what he is doing and he seems to not take himself seriously.
GO MUSTANGS!

Cunningham playing much more aggressively this year; what a difference a coaching staff can make

Great effort and work by the Ponies tonight. Very impressed in the first game. Lots of work to do but moving in the right direction.

LMU is not supposed to be as good as last year, but not bad:

BLUE RIBBON ANALYSIS

BACKCOURT: A-
BENCH/DEPTH: B
FRONTCOURT: B
INTANGIBLES: B+

LMU is coming off a successful season that included wins against three Top 25 opponents and two postseason victories. Among the victories was a triumph against No. 23 Saint Louis.

The program has big holes to fill, and the Lions have size issues if Ireland and Flint are on the court together regularly. They are physical enough to offset some of the height disadvantage, but no coach prefers 40 percent of his lineup to be 6-1 and under.

Winning 11 games again in the WCC will be a chore, but when Flint and some of those talented freshmen have played a season together, the Lions might be more dangerous at tournament time -- especially with Ireland a year older.

"We've had a great offseason," Good said. "But you know what? Everybody says that. You find out what you're really made of in terms of chemistry and all that when you start playing."

Certainly, no team with its NCAA tournament hopes at stake will be crazy about facing an Ireland-led squad.
