PonyFans.com VIDEO: Post-game (11/10/12) with AUSTIN FULLER

Post by PonyPride »

Senior SMU receiver Austin Fuller visited with the media after he caught seven passes in his first start for the Mustangs, a 34-6 victory over Southern Miss at Gerald J. Ford Stadium.

Glad Austin got a chance to start. He proved he has good hands and is a physical WR. He is a very capable blocker also.

Wish we had him for another year. In the right system, this guy could star. Something tells me we'll continue to see more of him the rest of the year . . . seems like a cool, fun loving guy.

Fuller should have been starting all along...personality conflict with receivers coach has kept in out....seems to be the case with several coaches?!?

They probably put him in primarily to help block down field for Gilbert, with the QB running more now.

Those bubble screens certainly seemed to work better with either a receiver with better hands, a receiver who's willing to block, or a bad Southern Miss D. Probably a little of all three.

The fact he hadn't played until now says it all about our staff.
