June Jones is "out of context". Every other Coach seems to know the proper context

Re: Rice
GiddyUp- I am excited to finally see our big TE's on the field. They have been hurt most of year and has really hurt the passing game.
Key for Rice O will be to get running game going to open that middle of field. Since McHargue does not throw a great deep/outside ball but does throw a good ball to middle-of-field/seams, would expect to see running game/option game get going to open-up play-action to the big TE's.
Key for Rice D will be turnovers and whether Rice can tackle the dink/dunk passes in space and get Z. Line down on first contact vs. letting him turn what should be 1-2 yd gains into 6-8 yd gains b/c we can't get him down at point-of-attack. That then opens up the SMU deeper passing game b/c our safeties are coming up to tackle and then their deep coverage is a bit suspect (although our CB's have been solid). Houston did a good job w/ this approach as we could not get Sims down and then found us getting burned on deeper balls in middle of field.

Re: Rice
Really not worried about this game. Rice will win in a laugher. My guess is they take it to us and June finds his way back to Dallas.. only to let everyone know he's done.
Would love if I'm wrong, but only way we win is if our Defense steps up big. Which they're very capable of doing.. but just don't see it happening in Houston.
The bright side, however, will be that JJ will be gone after this loss.

What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.
