PF's 10 Year Veteran Club
I just realized I joined the club last week. I thought I'd receive a gift, dinner a hug or something....oh well, just glad to be a new member. It's been a fun and sometimes painful ride but always interesting.

I wish I would have joined when I actually started reading the site. Took me 6 years to join. I was a secret browser for a long time.

12 and a half years here. And not a single cogent post.
Re: PF's 10 Year Veteran Club
I knew about this site since the mustangmaniac.com days. I chose the other site and posted as mustangcc. Someone pretty much copied my name using ccmustang and that is why I went with mustangxc here. I was very disillusioned with SMU athletics after I graduated given the 0-12 football season in 2003 and down season in basketball in 2003-04. Once PB got us back on the cusp in 2006 I decided to register here. It hasn't been easy, but finally we are starting to have some things to cheer for.

6 years of reading and not responding?! How could you do that?

I started over 10 years ago with "Ponygrad" but lost the password. Under "The Ponygrad" I will have to wait until January for my 10 years.

Mustangmaniacs was the preferred site by most when I first started posting back in 1998.

Yes, I remember many using the expressions "rose-colored glasses" and "polyannas" in reference to the members of this site.

It was known as the "sunshine board" by jtstang and a few others. Ponyfans was the "realism board." When Mustangmaniacs folded, the sunshiners moved over here -- only to eventually drive a lot of the "realists" to the new CP board. (By the way, I am good friends with jtstang, despite our foundational differences. He's good people).

Re: PF's 10 Year Veteran Club
Back-ass-backwards. MustangManiacs was not the sunshine board wearing Rose Colored sunglasses. You in particular were who we were talking about as you criticized posters arguing for necessary institutional change at every step. The only realism you supported was the status-quo of Jim Copeland's vision of trying to win the Ivy League Championship
