I guess this is a nice distraction from the Rice thread.
Token idiot? You referring to East Coast Mustang, seems rude.

Maryland lives to play North Carolina and Duke. I would think the money would have to be huge to get the Terps to head to the Big 10.

Remember all those magical trips to New Brunswick.
Trey was using the powers of Gamehendge to allow the show to continue, to give the band the strength it needed to help break through this barrier

The $$$ is obviously the driving force here, but it cuts both ways...Maryland has had serious financial issues and had to drop several of its athletic teams recently, and there's a $50 million exit fee for ACC teams.

Its just the rich getting richer.

At the end of the day I dont think it really matters much for the GOF. The Big East will still be the best of the GOF even with 2 more CUSA members to replace UCONN and Rutgers.

At the end of the day the undefeated GOF team (doesnt matter which conference) will most likely play in the consolation 6th bowl. Get its participation ribbon and call that a magical season.

If the Big East has a good year and beats some BIg 5 teams in OOC it could send a team to the Playoff. Case in point TCU 2010.

I dont think anyone thought Rutgers and Uconn were sticking around for that much longer anyway.

It should be interesting to see how this plays out. Obviously good news for Tulsa and ECU fans hoping to get out of Commuter School USA.
