Re: Official SMU Rice Thread
maybe someone can answer this for me, but if you have second and 20 inside your five wouldn't it be better to try a 10-12 yard gain to give you a better chance to convert on third down?

Gilbert is the worst.
Trey was using the powers of Gamehendge to allow the show to continue, to give the band the strength it needed to help break through this barrier

That was a really bad possession. We can't stop them cold, so that was really needed for a TD.

Re: Official SMU Rice Thread
I think much of the lack of effort/focus/fire can be traced directly to JJ. He seems to always be low key and never gets excited, ever. Look at all of the top teams. None of their coaches are stone faced all the time with zero emotion.
Also, none of the top teams put up with mental mistake BS.
I firmly believe the game has passed JJ by.

Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

What we don't see is what happens in the locker room and meeting rooms on Monday. I bet that overhead projector is burning up this week!
