Tulane and Rice will get you fired

Post by ponyfan777 »

When you don't care as a coach anymore AND you lose to Tulane and Rice, then strike up the band...Turn Out The Lights The Party's Over!Goodbye JJ and hopefully GG also, take the same bus out of Big D!

Your thoughts.

Bad coaching makes GG worse. He'd be better in a different system. Maybe not good, but better than this I am sure.

that's my thinking as well, but even when he has time, GG has shown to be the most inaccurate QB we've had in years

I remember early in the season that I said we might lose to Rice and the sunshiners all said I was crazy. Well, maybe not so much- huh?

Yup, I warned against Rice as well. Just look at their recent stretch of games compared to ours. They're peaking, we're um... doing something else.

Would love to see jj fired but we can't afford to per his contract as I understand it. .

all the talk of JJ getting fired is probably misdirected; he still has a contract and unless/until the COC wants a change, it's not likely to happen.

I would not be surprised for JJ to leave on his own...and return to Hawaii where he could become their savoir once again (if and when they give up on their current coaching staff)

This is what makes me sad, the helplessness we are held hostage by JJ. After season 5 and this is the result. Let's go back to Eric Dickerson's original claim that if we aren't going to do it right let's shut it down. Speaking of Eric, have I just missed seeing him on the Blvd and games---where is he supporting his buddy JJ?

CoC is not a decision making body. This is per a CoC member.

Yeah I imagine the CoC donated money and got the tax benefits. So they transferred the necessary funds to SMU with restriction to football then SMU use the restricted funds to pay JJ but all management decisions should be with Hart and Turner.

Unfortunately it's not SMU money. It's the C of C that would have to buy him out. Our athletic department can't afford to buy him out and pay a new coach at this point.

I seriously think he quits.
