You can tell he is a great shooter, and he is tenacious on defense...however, he cannot create anything off the dribble at this time, maybe Larry can teach him...but he is a great guy to put in there and play tough D, and he can spot up and catch and shoot it as good as anyone on this team.

Shadowman, maybe Brian is not BE-ready, but what are your thoughts on him being C-USA ready this season?

Don't get me wrong...I think he can play in the Big East...he is just a freshman and he is a great defender and he can catch and shoot as good as anyone on this team...I havent seen any evidence that he can create offense off the dribble and have not seen him be a great passer..but he is a freshman and I think Larry will make him better. I am glad to have him.

Good coaching is also making sure you don't blow a big lead - lets see where this goes

Heh, how many people remember the Doherty coached SMU Mustangs blow a 24 point lead with 12 minutes to go at home?

SMU leads at 7 at half 39-32. Texas St. did a good job to cut it down.

Jalen has 13 at the half.
