was that a TEXAN winning both the MVP(24 points) and the Slam Dunk Championship at the McDonald's All-American game the other nite? Anybody see Gerald Green's "Perfect 10" slam? Wow! I'd say that Oklahoma St. did alright in recruiting.

Actually no it wasn't...the MVP went to Duke bound Josh McRoberts of Carmel, Ind.

However, Green did look like the most impressive scorer on the court.

I thought Julian Wright was the most impressive.

Surely you're not using the slam dunk contest as a measure of OSU's recruiting success. You're better than that. That's like saying a school has a great football recruiting system because it signs a QB who can throw the ball through a swinging tire. And these games are an exhibition only, and while this year's game had a little more defense than these games normally do, it still wasn't a game any coach would use as a determining factor in the decision to recruit a player or not. Green is a great player, but it has nothing to do with the game or the dunk contest.

Wonder what Gerald Green opting for the NBA will do to OSU's ranking?

Is it just me, or does the constant scowl on Eddie Sutton's face resemble Coach Don Coryell's look in Texas Stadium when Phoenix used to come to town? :?
