He said that he is planning on being competitive in the Big East next year because he has 3 good recruits and 3 good transfers coming in next year. Depth will not be a problem next year.

Rider has had some good teams in the past.

) With the exception of Malone (which may be a University or a College ) , the roster doesn't have many complete patsies. While SMU 'should' win games against teams like Rider, they better show up and better play hard. All in, I think they put together a pretty nice schedule for a team coming off last year's debacle.

I live 1 hour from Rider and I wouldn't take them lightly. LB was living in Philly when he came to SMU and he knows how scrappy Jersey and Philly guys play. I don’t think this is a push over team.

According to Eamonn Brennan and ESPN.com, our non-conference schedule is more or less crap, so we really should win almost all of these games. http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketba ... is-c-usa-2

Interesting. LB mentioned in the postgame it was supposed to be Alcorn State Monday night, but there is some NCAA rule preventing us from playing them (something about having been in a tournament with them within a certain amount of time or something like that). This is obviously a last-minute addition to fill the schedule. Does anybody know the details of having to drop Alcorn State?

He is much more critical of our OOC schedule that UH's yet, he lists 3 games as harder than our game against TCU but shows TCU as UH's second toughest game.
