Congratulations on becoming the second person in SMU's history to rush for over 4,000 yards. That's a truly historic accomplishment and we appreciate everything you've done for your team.

SMU’s Zach Line ran for 94 yards, surpassing 4,000 for his career. His 4,033 yards rank second in school history, behind only Eric Dickerson (4,450).

He also moved into third in school history with 4,631 all-purpose yards, passing Emmanuel Sanders. And his two rushing touchdowns increased his career total to 43, second all-time, four behind Dickerson.

Line hit the 4,000-yard mark on a 7-yard run that ended on the half-yard line, where he fumbled as he stretched for the pylon. He also had a solo tackle on a punt return.

WR climbs all-time lists: SMU receiver Darius Johnson had six receptions for a season-high 153 yards. His 2,799 career receiving yards rank fourth at SMU, and his 226 career receptions are fourth.

Johnson also increased his total of career 100-yard passing games to 13, third in school history.

Sucks he wont be able to break it. If we had played well against Rice and won. Then with that game, Tulsa, a bowl and maybe a champ game, he would have broken the record. Oh well at least he can sit at a comfortable second. I think ED deserve to be number 1 since he earned all those yards in the mighty SWC.

I have really enjoyed watching him play. What a great story, coming into the program as little known linebacker recruit, and finishing his time here as one of the greatest running backs in school history. He has been the heart of the offense.
I have many memories of the spectacular runs, and surprising moves, but might stand out to me even more are some of those games when he was out on the field for way too long, in the 4th quarter of a blow out, getting hammered play after play, and just grinding it out.
