Congratulations to the SMU administration for making changes

That can allow a coach to win at SMU which no previous coach before JJ has had. And yes, as JJ says there are still more changes that need to be made.

Now take it a step further and give us athlete friendly majors so we can get thugs like TCU.

Btw....TCU had several key players flunk out before the season just like SMU. That's not a valid excuse.

Not sure why a superior athlete who knows they will play in the NFL and is looking for an easy ride through college has to be considered a thug??

YUP :!:

BTW, just saw my Longview Lobos beat Jesuit with their best ever in America wide receiver headed to Texas 58- 25 in your BONEYARD :!: :!: :!: That was after seeing the win over Tulsa.

The Jesuit receiver looked pretty good before getting hit hard.
May the forth be with us.

NO inside knowledge here at all...

But has anyone noticed that ever since the quote from Patterson that "he is not going to help SMU out anymore", that we have stopped recruiting the academic risks that have a 50/50 shot of getting into school?

This is also the first class we have recruiting under Jones that has a ton of no-names.

I wonder if GP was helping us out more than we think.

June fills his staff with corpses and yet it's the administration's fault that we recruit poorly.

Pretty far fetched to believe that GP was recruiting for us. With the instability of the conferences we are just a tough sell. Hard to say a team that may not have a conference in 2 years is on its way up. Chances of playing in big games at teams outside the big 4 has diminished considerably. Add that to poor recruiting effort and a coach that has had it with being here and you get our recruiting class.

I would counter though by saying that while previous classes may have had a few 4 stars, sanders junior, cassel and Dickerson are bigger names than we've ever had. Add Prescott Line to that and you have some pretty strong pedigree coming in. Genetics doesn't always translate to greatness I suppose, but one can hope.

Dead wrong again. We are currently recruiting and have offered Deontay McManus who is a non qualifier at present.
