Fire Brown now!

Postby ponyte » Sun Nov 25, 2012 10:14 am

I can't believe we lost to an unknown Sun belt team! Besides me, Arkpony and mrydel, who the Hades has even heard of ULAR.

Brown can't even get his team prepared for a Sunbelt team. What the Hades is going to happen to us when we play next year in the Big East?

As much as we are paying Brown one would think we could at least compete and not get blown out by a Sunbelt Team.

We can't move forward with such pathetic coaching.

Fire Brown this instant!

i know this is sarcasm, but it is a simple thing to follow. Brown's recruiting - top 25 - and we are in on the best players in the country - so he gets a pass.

June's - not so much.

we are who we recruit. it we recruit around the 50th - 70th best classes in football - that is as good as we are going to get.

pontye I recognize the sarcasm on this but c'mon...Larry Brown has made his SMU efforts known on every major recruit in the country and actually flies to personally meet recruits when the NCAA allows and makes his presence known all across the USA with potential Top 25 recruits. June doesn't even try for top level recruits nor leave his home to make those flights to show interest at recruits homes. But Larry Brown's first year efforts will get us a Top 15 class...you can't compare the two coaches efforts and attitudes.
His coaching of a small class with limited bench strength will be tough this year until he gets his new transfers and recruits on the court next year.

No big men. No 3-point shooting king. Gimmicky game plan and you think we can compete??? We can't even stay on the court with a crummy Sunbelt team.

We need a coach that can recruit 5 stars only and then have the game plan of Adolph Rupp. Brown is old with gray hair and so is his coaching.

We need a super young but very popular name coach that has never been proven on a big time scale to vault us into the perpetual championships we so desire.

I can't believe people can't see just how low we have sunk.

One is a Hall of Fame coaching legend with an NBA World Title and a NCAA Championship and one has a overall losing record with no Titles in the NFL or even a winning record in the NFL and one CONFERENCE title in the NCAA (WAC?) and a losing record in the NCAA and has had no QB's in the NFL but considers himself a QB genius..

But yet again this is a basketball thread....so I digress.

Larry Brown also as an Olympic gold metal as a player. June transferred 4 times just to see the field.

Oh winning an NCAA championship is such a big deal. Its sooooooo hard that UTEP has done it! UTEP!! For goodness sake UTEP has done it. How hard can it be?

And UTEP did it with a Sierra Hotel young, hot unknown great recruiting and coaching (as a matter of fact he out coached Rupp) coach just like we need.

1966 UTEP (formally Texas Western) beat Kentucky for the championship. UTEP for Goodness sakes can win a championship and all we can do is get some geezer.

Interesting the UTEP coach came from the lineage of coach Henry I a, who was Larry Brown's Olympic coach

We like geezers ( and we both are ones!)...and LB likes 'practice'! And besides have you seen LB's wife?...40 something and good looking, so he must not be a total geezer to keep up with her..

I was waiting for some classless smart aleck to post this exact thread. I just did not think it would be ponyte. Totally inappropriate in the first post year of a coach even in sarcasm.
