Rivals says UTEP has offered. Mentions SMU, TCU, Vandy, Purdue, Texas Tech and Georgia Tech as others schools of interest. Nice size at 6-5, 280. I'm sure some of you Bubblers have a scouting report.

We like him. He broke his ankle or leg that last regular season game last year and HP really missed him in the loss to Texarkana. I think he likes us too, from what I hear........

The size is appealing, and Mike Price can evaluate talent.
Anyone know more about the guy?

Not for sure, but there was a monster kid in a HP FB T-shirt attending the Red/Blue game

Rivals says that Chris is visiting The Dead Raiders this weekend with his parents, but still slightly favors SMU. We need to close the deal with him soon!

That would be a nice first commitment -- at least in terms of size. Anyone know how good he is?
The Tech visit makes me a little nervous. Guys often get swayed by the school they see most recently.

I heard he was also offered by Oklahoma State. They are the school to worry about.

I agree -- OSU might not be at the LSU/Oklahoma/Texas level in recruiting, but in recent years, they're close. If they offered this guy, I'm guessing he can play.

Sounds like this guy is becoming more and more of a hot commodity. Ponies need to close this deal.

There's a note about Olson today on rivals. The headline says something about "Closer to a decision?"
And it's on the Texas Tech rivals site.
Anyone know what it says? Surely he's not going to go to Lubbock!

He is going to visit SMU one more time and he is going to also visit Vanderbilt. Reportedly, the coaches at Tech made a great impression on him. I hope we hear that comment from him after his visit to SMU plus a commitment. Its great that so many prospects (as detailed by Lotus) are looking at us, but what matters are the COMMITMENTS! Once one commits, the others will, hopefully, start to follow.

Did it say when he's going to visit SMU again?
It's not like it's a long trek to The Hilltop for him.
If this guy is as good as advertised, he'd be a great lead blocker for the next class.

Hope he finds his way to the HillTop.

That said, how many schol. do we have for the next season?

Can you give COx's schol. to anybody now-- or does he count against the 2005-2006 numbers?
