Welcome to CUSA folks, and not just pre 2006 CUSA, but post 2006 CUSA. We've really come a long way.

Guessing Aresco knows he's not getting [deleted] from any network so he's just making random adds to look proactive.

So, just to recap since SMU joined the Big East last year from a TV perspective:

Estimates were that we would get AT LEAST 10M a year for the TV deal

Today, I would say the best the conference can do is 4M per school (full members)

Everyone needs to look at the big picture. The biggest threat to this conference going forward (besides the obvious scenario of the defection of Louisville and/or UConn) was the Big East Catholic schools splitting off. The football people can argue otherwise, but Aresco knows how important those markets are to the TV contract. Tulane is *exactly* the type of all-sports member that the Big East Catholic members would want - private school in an urban market with great academics. This indicates that the hybrid league is sticking together (for better or for worse).

Except for the fact the Tulane is a school with an extremely heavy Jewish popolaution. (both professors and students) Every religous Jewish holiday is an official day off on campus. I am sure all of the Catholic members are doing backflips they are so overcome with joy.
