Let's siphon some talent from the BCS. Make the Big East into a Pay for Play League (we and Tulane would fit in nicely, given our histories). Every school willing and able to do so could pay their scholar-athletes up to $50K per year to attend and play. Then, we can call out the BCS Champ to play in an exhibition "Superior Bowl" against our mercenary athletes.
Let's call college football what it really is--a business.

That's probably what's going to happen in our lifetimes. Not now but eventually. D-1 is going to be split up again.

it is truly a semi-pro league if you look at SEC, just that the players don't get $$. The coaches make way too much $$$
