I think UVa would make more sense than GT. UNC makes a lot of sense, but I would think there would be a lot of political pressure on them not to bail on NC State, Duke, and Wake. We'll see.

Yeah, I think that's the next move....although, UVa bent over backwards to get VT in the ACC back in 2003- doubt VT could leave them high and dry

Kind of strange but maybe their more academically minded big brothers Virginia and North Carolina couldn'tstomach SEC-kind of like Texas. Guess SEC could still make run at OU but they seem pretty tied to UT.

Why wouldnt the Big10 take:

UNC and Virginia. They they can be all touching and stuff.

SEC will do it im sure with those adds.

If BIG takes GT and UNC, there will be holes

UVa has a ton of political power in the state. I've seen rumors that say Delaney and Slive might be willing to go to 18 if they need to in order to place UVa and Duke in order to get VT and UNC in their conferences.

Maybe UVa gets B12 lifeboat and is travel partner for couch burning WVU?

Can't see UVA in Big 12 - they belong in B1G (academically/culturally). Just my $.02

this is armegeddon. there is no tomorrow. I hope Turner and Ford are on the phones with our checkbook open, including endowment funds if necessary. The thought that we need to win big for a few years to be attractive, forget it, there is no future opportunity once this all goes down. If Turner and Ford don't pull a rabbit out of the hat, i hope you enjoyed D-1 football, and the hopes of moving up to a better league someday, i hope you enjoyed it very much.
