We have like 5 billionaires sitting on our board, plus several VERY competent lawyers. If we are going to be left at the alter time to gear up the mother of all law suits and throw this thing into total disarray - including injunctions. More trouble has been caused with less merit. It would be poetic justice if we actually returned control back to the universities and away from the devil networks.

I really hate to even say this....

but...

I think the government needs to step in and regulate that conferences should only exist regionally and only be allowed to seek profit by selling their existing product. Its getting ridiculous that these people are making so much money off of college athletes who see none of it. Not to mention making them travel coast to coast on a weekly basis and still somehow expecting them to end up with any form of a meaningful college degree is absurd.

Apparently our president and AD aren't nearly as motivated about SMU's placement in a 5X16 format as they probably should be.

Agree. I'll contribute to the legal fund. Time to lawyer up. Funny how Utah dropped all its threats and complaints once they were included. thats the nature of this, money and threats talk.

I think they are motivated but just don't have all the pieces of a good product except location to sell to the BCS conferences. I are probably on the phone but have to interest from the BCS conferences.

No - What we need is the 'have-nots' (like SMU, Tulane, et al.) get off their timid little backsides & fight this cartel. The cartel is assuming, correctly, that they can get away with anything they want, which they are! Everybody wants gov't to solve their problems & all they do is muck it up with more gov't control. That's why we're in the mess in the first place.
