They would contribute as practice players...can barely go full court now with the team as it is. Of course, the transfers make a big contribution as practice players, as well.

Besides practice, our guards are playing pretty much the whole game and Cotton is nursing an injury. Might be more about playing D and resting the starters legs for a few minutes than PPG.

I defer to the HOF coach on this one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.....and the next one.

Maybe Margus could give an inside guy a minute or two to catch his breath - but if he ever had to handle the ball it would be a feeding frenzy.

also - football shape is not the same as basketball shape.

I think Larry was just having some fun with that comment.

1. Acker was an All State HS bball player as a teammate of Paul Mccoy. Hoopmanx will tell you that some had Acker rated as a better hoopster than McCoy was.

2. Acker would fit right in with the full court pressure defense and fast break offense that LB would ideally like the run. You don't think Acker would be amazing in a full court press or man-to-man enviornemnt? And I bet he can finish like no one's business around the bucket.

3. The fact that you think Margus is the potential solution shows that it is you that knows absolutely nothing about basketball.

I'm with you on this. First, many fball kids play hoops and contribute yearly in the NCAA. Play d, board, and be tough. Thats the list. Acker gives us another ball handler as well. Handles rust, they don't go away

I totally agree with all the above. Margus?...riiight. Bball is a skill game not a size game. Acker is a baller...he will be fine helping out.

Let Margus spend some quality time with Clayton Korver and I'm sure he would find a way to contribute.

I expect that Margus will be focused on preparing for the combine.

All American tight end Oscar Roan came in and played hoops after a few players were ruled ineligible. Of course Roan played some hoops at a school called UCLA before he transferred to SMU to play football. When Coach Allen heard he'd played for John Wooden, he was happy to let him see if he could play.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Long live the great Oscar Roan.

Nobody said margus was a "solution". I said of the options he is the only one that could help. Athletic as he is he couldn't do much but foul and rebound.

I don't think any football player will or could contribute. We will see who is right.

Both. I know there are exceptions before you pull out obscure examples, but basketball takes constant work on all aspects of the game and for 99.9 pct you can't just throw them in mid season and get anything of value.
