I can't believe the improvement in JJ. He attacks the rim and rebounds with a purpose. LB is going to get him NBA ready before it's over.

i wish i could see a replay of that dunk attempt where he was coming straight down the lane with authority when he got called for the charge. that was going to be amazing. i think that guy undercut him but i could be wrong.

He was a bit far out for it to have worked imo. The guy got a charge on him I think.

So are you suggesting there is some correlation between wins and attendance?

Agreed, the game last night was exciting to watch. I have not been to an SMU bball game in years and I was legitimately excited about going to this game - the Stangs did not disappoint.

yes, and watching an exciting brand of ball. This is not a shot at any other SMU team. It is just a fact that LB and the guys are fun to watch. They are even fun to watch when they struggle offensively cause they play so [deleted] the defensive end.

And it is fun when the crowd get loud in Moody. .

Hah it was great game. I love how well we are shooting free throws, seems like our percentage is higher than I've ever seen it, although I don't know the exact stats.

One funny thing that happened as I was walking out, I ended up next to RGT. He had some hecklers walking behind him yelling "Fire June!". He didn't seem very concerned when I asked him about it. His response was "Let's see what they say when Larry loses 3 or 4". No real info/insight there, just thought I'd share....

The impressive thing, to me, was that even though Utah kept it close for the first 10-15 minutes, it was obviously that we were the better, longer, more athletic team. We rebounded better and simply outmatched them on both sides of the court. We completely outplayed a big conference opponent. C-USA is wide open this year and we have the talent and size in place to win it if we play well.

Also, we are going to be frighteningly deep next year.

Encouraging we can win a game with Nick Russel playing as bad as he did. Imagine if he hit a shot last night.

If we only lose 3 or 4 in basketball then we will be heading to the NCAA tournament. Apples and oranges. Also, let's see what LB does in his 5th year. I am willing to say we will have achieved the goal of being a top 25 team.

True. Not saying that I am placing any expectations on the team but it should be exciting to watch once they get into conference play.

Picked up season tickets this morning for the rest of the year.

Fun times @ Moody last night. Stoked for the last year of CUSA and next year.
Trey was using the powers of Gamehendge to allow the show to continue, to give the band the strength it needed to help break through this barrier
