Let's back the truck up, we have only played average teams so far. Yes we beat a Big12 (TCU) and PAC12 (Utah) but these are the weakest teams in their conferences. CUSA is going to be tough.

I am really happy with how the team is playing, but with the depth we have, expecting a top four finish is expecting too much. If we continue to improve and develop the bench it might not be out of the question, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The difference is that we would have lost these games last yr. Conf USA will be tough, but I don't think it will be much different than the teams we have faced. Houston lost to Praire View last night and Memphis is starting to struggle. Those 2 are probably our biggest competition. UAB also. UCF?

Memphis, UCF, S. Miss, then the rest starting with Marshall/UAB. Houston is not looking so good this year.

I have not read where anyone is predicting a top 4 finish. I just think most believe that this team can be competitive this year even if we do not do well in the standings.

He didn't seem very concerned when I asked him about it. His response was "Let's see what they say when Larry loses 3 or 4". No real info/insight there, just thought I'd share....

That throw away comment tells me that RGT doesn't really understand the issue with JJ and that is a problem. There are many folks who seem to think we are upset with June for losing games, but my true issue is that he has simply given up on our school. The reason I love having Larry Brown as our coach is not simply because we are winning, but because you see success building in every aspect of the game. Our players look better, prospects are taking us more seriously, and recruiting is improving. President Turner has done lots of good things for our University, but if he thinks the issue fans have with JJ is simply wins, then he does not have a good grasp of the situation and that concerns me for realignment prospects as well.

According to Sagarin, there are 8 teams in CUSA better than the best team we have played so far and 8 teams better than us.

On the other hand, five of them are not very much better at all than Loyola Marymount or us. The best of those being 2-3 points better, so #4 is not unimaginable. I just advise patience.

Yeah. It was a picture from Portsmouth last summer.

Ralph and I are super [deleted] for trey.
Trey was using the powers of Gamehendge to allow the show to continue, to give the band the strength it needed to help break through this barrier

The last year of CUSA is gonna be a blast.

Southern Miss is good, Marshall is good, UCF has a decent squad, Houston is decent and Memphis is good.

Tulsa is starting 5 Freshman this year. We are not very good. SMU will be a double digit favorite at home.

Danny Manning will end up being a good coach but he has very little to work with. Tulsa doesnt even have a center.

Ponygrad, it is 10x better than last year and nobody is saying we are dancing or winning CUSA....regardless they are playing hard and much more fun this year.

Houston lost to Prairie View A&M last night, and only beat Texas A&M-CC and Florida A&M by 2 pts. I wouldn't classify them as decent quite yet.

Again, I don't see anyone saying we could be even close to #4 but if that is what you think I hope it happens. The best thing is not to have any expectations good or bad and just have fun watching them play and learn this year imo.

NIT Team easy.

Go 3-0 in the next three and SMU is a bubble team.
