The video posted originally is obviously a little over the top and not possible in Moody, but while I LOVE what the band brings to the game, I think we need to mix in more DJ.

Since we don't have a properly coordinated student section, and not a lot of tradition in terms of chants or in game atmosphere, I suggest we give Moody kind of a pro-atmosphere in some ways. We have a professional coach that creates a professional atmosphere, why not let these kids prepare for playing pro games.

I'm a native Angeleno and Laker fan, But OKC had awesome player intros, and they engage the fans by having the mascot "Rumble" start a slow clap that speeds up and gets the crowd going in to a frenzy. I went to two games last year and was blown away by the atmosphere.

It would also be nice if we had cheerleaders with signs, one that says "Go" and another that says "Mustangs" and get like a good alternating chant to keep the fans engaged. I've more fun than ever this year in Moody, but we can definitely keep improving the atmosphere...

I don't necessarily agree with having more DJ, but if the band is going to be the sole source of music they need to play and not dance!

That little thing they do during the football games is fine if they are just killing time during an opponent's drive in the fourth quarter, but at a basketball game the timeouts are an extremely valuable resource and in my opinion they just can't be wasted.

For instance, at the Utah game, the Mustangs had just extended the lead back to 10 after the Utes made their run, and when we go to timeout what happens? The band doesn't play.

Yeah, some people (including RGT) danced, but Moody just went dead. Tons of people sitting checking their phones when we had the opportunity to blow the roof off that place! I heard THREE people around me yelling "Play Peruna!" during that timeout.

I know the band takes a lot of unnecessary criticism for things out of their control, but this one is well within their control. If they want to dance at basketball games, save it for after the game.
