According to the ponyfans game log, we went 4-6 in 1963 and went to the Sun Bowl. Lost to Oregon, apparently in front of 18,600 people, and finished the season 4-7. I'm sure some decent teams got left out that year. Just sayin...

Ok, strangely enough, Georgia Tech is the team that petitioned to be eligible for a bowl this year after going 5-7. I looked it up, and in 1963 (our 4-7 Sun Bowl year), Georgia Tech went 7-3 as members of the SEC and didn't go to a bowl game.

And I wonder why they are petitioning to go anyways, the records show that they have lost their LAST SEVEN bowl games. PJohnson, want to make it 8 with a mediocre ACC team?

Some of you are amazing. I agree: I hope we win so many games next year (and every year beyond that) that the new rule never applies to us, but like the rest of you, my focus is on supporting the team in its effort to win in Hawaii.
