I thought the 11.5 was the amount of people going to watch the game. I would have bet against it

June knows Hawaii Bowl. While opponents swim in Pacific Ocean our players go to West N Wild so they won't burn feet on hot sand before big game

I thought it was to avoid cutting their feet on coral, but your point stands.

Just curious, how much did Turner (not JJ) say the $ value of our last Hawaii bowl appearance was to SMU. I thought it was rather significant.

and SMU Alum 11, I think your posts are entertaining, but I have to disagree on your view of this bowl game. I am happy for my school to go bowling, I think the exposure is economically significant, and for a 6-6 team, I can think of a lot of worse places to go than Hawaii.

Just view it as a reward for our Seniors. They deserve it.

Thanks so cal I try to make some funny comments here and there. I assume they will get the same tv ratings they have always gotten. I'm just not sure how many people from both schools and the people of Hawaii will even bother going. The thing is I feel people have no interest Fresno especially when the probably dont even know where Fresno is. They have already seen JJ so I don't think he will have much hype. Now you are probably right, that was probably going to be our best bowl game available. It just sucks that we have regressed right back into our first bowl. It's hard for me to be excited and especially when people are like, "where is SMU going to again?" When they are talking about their OU and AM cotton bowl game. I wish we were NIU just so we could taste the big times. Yes our seniors deserve a vacation as that's what it is more than a game. I just hope we don't have to worry about anymore Hawaii bowls for a long long time.
