Close but no Cigar

Post by Stallion »

One of the two OU starters caught for drug possession was a Fresno St. transfer WR. That's not the way the June Jones Bowl strategy is supposed to work. Stay tuned

Still time for a massive raid of the coaching staff.

Must be some kids on that team failing, please let it be about five starters (greedy I know but we need this).

The Fresno State transfer turned out to be OU's best player this year. Can only imagine what they would have done if he stayed at Fresno.

You all are so right - that Nevada team that we thumped in the last Hawaii Bowl was no good. It's not like their QB that started that game is now the starting QB of the Super Bowl front runner San Francisco 49ers.

But you all know better. That team was a bunch of scrubs and we won due to a shoplifting incedent.

Same goes for the Pitt game. They were no good - same sorry Pitt group only gave the #1 team in the country their biggest test this year. But of course, we only won that game because their coach was fired.

That same Pitt that "only gave the #1 team in the country their biggest test this year," also lost to Youngstown State.

Was that much different than losing to Tulane?

Your argument would make sense if one player could win a game for you. If I recall correctly, that team was fairly depleted. Surely you're joking about Pitt. They lost most of their staff before the bowl game. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we won those games, but there was a lot going on with the other teams.

The only bowl game we have played where the coach and all players were available was Army and that game was less than inspiring.
