Well, we aren't the only ones so set in our ways.

Rumor is La Tech, who wanted the Liberty Bowl this year and lost out to Iowa State - someone who I believe is a horrible choice, as a Memphian - was offered by the Independence Bowl instead, and turned them down because the Indy just got La Monroe, a bitter rival. As a result, the Bulldogs may be staying home this year.

I love Tthe bowl system, but it is so screwed up.

I'm am glad he insisted on Hawai'i. The right call.

It is so refreshing to see folks on this board bickering and whining about our bowl options a few years back (or now). Don't have a dog in this hunt so I will just sit back and enjoy relative success. We made it to the point that we can argue about our post season options. Not how if we hadn't fumbled 22 times in one game we could have been 2-10!

Of course it will be better when we get to the point that we are PO'ed that OSU won and Michigan lost which knocked us out of the Rose Bowl and into the Sugar bowl.

Its a great game.

Its a chance for many of the players parents to see them play again. The fans get a great experience. The bowl does all kinds of cool things the days leading up to it on Beale St.

I went in 2005 and had a ball.

Im stoked to be playing Iowa State again. Nice chance for us to get a Big 12 win.

Pony vs Fresno is also a great matchup.
Trey was using the powers of Gamehendge to allow the show to continue, to give the band the strength it needed to help break through this barrier

There was the June-goes-home angle, only game on TV, the players were over the moon about it, fans were hyped as hell about it, and those who could afford it went. We were all excited about Hawaii.

Tomorrow's Monday. I'm sure you have a way to blame JJ for that, too.

Get over your hate and move on.
Hawaii bowl then was great. Now, it's pointless and rather spend available time doing something interesting over Christmas break.

Hey, just contrasting Tulsa's gracious acceptance with JJ's petulant flip-off. It was sort of a big deal. I understand no C-USA team had done that to the Liberty before SMU.

SMU has not done anything to the Liberty Bowl because we've never been invited.

A couple of years ago JJ said that he wanted to go to the Hawaii Bowl even of SMU won the conference championship. It caused some friction and even the CUSA commissioner addressed JJ statement.

This is true but why are we even discussing this. We are done with CUSA, the hawaii Bowl, and the Liberty Bowl (except for the BE tie in). We have lots of issues but this is now a dead horse.
