Re: MBand-Hawaii Update
How many people is half the band? 15?
edit: read more of this thread. I guess it's 44, which is surprising to me. Looked much smaller.

Re: MBand-Hawaii Update
When the band went a few years ago, they didn't travel together. They had to take multiple flights on multiple airlines from different cities at different hours. It was a nightmare.

can't have it both ways. plus, when they went last time it took a monumental effort to get the money to pay for them (plus Peruna and crew, cheer, Liberty & Justice), but it was done b/c we hadn't been to a bowl in 20 years. we've been to 4 strait now, and these seniors all went last time (as i understand it).
when i was in college, for a free trip to hawaii, most people would take a multi-leg flight through multiple cities to get there.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

I'm hearing that it is going to be the same deal this time around. 10 people on one flight, 12 on another. The logistics are tough

After all it is Christmas eve and many people have family and religious priorities over playing in a low tier bowl game that is not convenient for anyone to attend.
So true. Once you've been to Hawaii (twice for me) its enough. I rather be home for Christmas Eve
Re: MBand-Hawaii Update
We are lucky to be bowling and I dont think the entire band needs to go...the first time around sure, that was special..
That is a very pricey trip

I paid my way last time. My bank account would have appreciated the nightmare that was their free flights and hotel rooms.

We need to look big time and send all the band. Half of most bands is larger than our whole band and others find a way to do it

Re: MBand-Hawaii Update
You would think the athletic department would have already had this in the budget considering it was the goal for the season.

Well since our fearless leader of a Head Coach made it his goal to be there, what else would you expect?

Considering that the band did not go to the tourney in 1993(Mustang Club members went instead)and we were the only school in the tourney without a band, I'm sure they'll be ok with 44.

Not to discourage donations to the band, but Hart said its logistical not financial. As someone who tried to get out there last go around it is not out of the realm of possibility that he is telling the truth.
But if it is financial or if money helps, we can sure lead the way. We raised over $6500 to produce Thaddeus's promo video.
I saw that tweet about logistics. But, curious, he tweeted me on 11/30 that it was a cost issue. I think he's now just trying to deflect well-deserved criticism.
