It was such a waste for June Jones to sacrifice a year of his eligibility to put him in for five plays.

Apparently on the Notre Dame boards they are saying Wisconsin. Dieter is from South Bend.

Ha! I was just reading a Wisconsin board-they as well as most websites in the Midwest think the entire family are nutt-cases. Do a little search

When Wisky lost their coach I think that went out the window. I expect him to go closer to his home.

What makes their family nut-cases? Just curious. Considering most northern states are loaded with lazy crazies.

So does this free up an airplane seat for a band member?

Seems like every time he and Connor P were in the game together - there were highlights. This is a real shame. He will be a star somewhere. He was in for a few more than 5 plays , but I seem to recall at least two TDs, and most of the plays he was in for GG never looked his way...

I don’t know if Gehrig will be or is headed to the WI Badgers, but his mom was a full scholly B-Ball player for them, so who knows. Gehrig is a big kid, great hands (strong hands); decent ups …will defiantly go up and get it, will block and play physical. The only thing missing from this list is speed. What I could see from this year’s season is average speed. When the corner would press-up, he would have trouble getting separation. Not that with additional time in the weight room (speed training), and some schooling on cleaning his routes, this could not be improved. However, I think he still had upside. I do think maybe coach Phillips may not have thought he was a good fit for the system going forward. Plus, in talking with his folks, they are really …. I’ll say confident in his "Gehrig's" abilities and his older brother (what parent isn’t, and they would share it), consequently there expectations and opinion for this season were not being met. That may also have something to do with this.

Not taking anything away from Gehrig or CP, but there hooks-ups were in garbage time. That does not take away form the athleticism and perfect timing of their plays … just keep it a little in perspective. Gehrig played a lot more than 5 plays; he started and played the entire Tulane game (sorry for bringing this up again). I can think of 4 passes from GG that went his way, 2 were TD attempts. The one TD attempt is the one that got most asking what JJ was doing at the end of the game, when he went for the end zone instead of giving it to Zack on 3rd and 1 and at least keeping the clock running. Although, I agree with Gehrig's reaction, he felt he was interfered with … and he was. The corner grabbed Gehrig’s left forearm and would not let him raise it for the ball … clear as a bell on the replay.

Anyway, a good kid with skills, wish him the best going forward.

I put this on both Dieter post

No, it seems to me like that is the reason he transferred.

Here's an idea. Grow a set and stick with your commitment for more than 6 months.

You're a damn freshman.

Participation chart lists him as being in 9 games with 3 starts. Seems that would be more than 5 plays.

Agreed. In the end, he has to go where he fits best. No hard feelings
