I'm just glad we have a local... I think anytime we have commits that are on the DFW area, SMU should do something to recognize them. Heck put a local ad to tell everyone about their local player playing in a local school that they can come out and support... Just food for thought...

SMU_Alumni11 that's a GREAT IDEA!!! Perhaps they need to wait until he has signed his letter. But, promote locals to increase fan base...not bad...not bad at all!!!

Run this idea by the SID. Every time a local player commits to SMU, run a half page ad in the DMN sports section congratulating him and welcome to SMU.

Unfortunately, it would be against NCAA rules. Can't publicize any commits until they sign in February...

I'm glad y'all like the idea unless someone said it first but like y'all said it shows we care about players and like to show we want to community to be a part of it. If NCAA says wait til they sign that works out, I rather wait til they're a mustang then have people spend money on a person who ends up flipping anyways. Hopefully it's helps brings some new SMU fans to the stadium. Every bit helps.
