BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Houston Chronicle article:
http://blog.chron.com/cougars/2012/12/u ... l-stadium/
Two things jumped out at me...
- The stadium is oriented East-West. Seems crazy but I guess we will see how it goes.
- They will sell beer in the stadium. Imagine that!
I also didn't know it wouldn't be ready until 2014. It will be interesting to see where we play them next season.

• Where will games be played in 2013?
UH is currently in discussion with officials from Reliant Stadium and a final decision is expected by the end of January.
• Why was the directional orientation of the stadium changed?
The new East-West orientation provides more fans and TV audiences a view of the Houston skyline. According to the school, the east side seats in Robertson Stadium experienced intense sun during day games, according to a comprehensive sun and shade study at three different kickoff times conducted in both early and late fall.
Other factors were: The north sideline seats are adjacent to the new stadium parking garage for convenient access; and the new orientation is congruent with the University’s current grid system.

Speaking of Rice, the announced plans to renovate their stadium in response to us tearing down The Rob in favor of building our palace.WordUpBU wrote: ironically St Arnold's started as a Rice grad's thing iirc.
