And, the ACC is not far behind?

If the Big East team sign a TV contract and "lockup", the ACC maybe more vulnarable now. Who are they going to invite to keep up their numbers? North Texas?

Puts the top of the BE (which i would like to think we are in) in a bit of a bind. Do you sell your soul on a new deal with the BE, when there are multiple potential scenarios involving other conferences - the ACC leftovers combining with top of BE as the most likely? Frankly the top of BE combined with what is likely to be the remainder of ACC is a pretty compelling conference.

No team is going to lock themselves into a terrible BE TV deal if they have better options. Every current BE team would kill for a spot in the ACC.
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

The move that could have saved the Big East and ACC was if the PAC12 had went to 16. Then the BIGXII leftovers would have joined up with the Big East and ACC. Now the pecking order is very clear and were just waiting for the next move.
