The ESPN Highlite Reel

Post by Stallion »

Markus played one of the great Bowl games in SMU history but don't overlook a great game by Taylor Reed-Jagared too.

Gilbert to Johnson has to be his best throw of the season. That was amazing.

That throw was spectacular. Never seen a behind-the-line screen pass intercepted without a tip, but that DJ pass was wonderful. Hunt was a monster. Davis & Reed went beast mode too. Lots of fun to watch. SMU 88, Other Teams 20 (In Hawai'i Bowls).

There was nothing but good coming from this game! Gilbert was throwing better than any game before. Hunt was about as good as any down lineman I've seen. Even plays that he wasn't in on the tackle he created havoc, completely ruined the opponents strategy. What a great day to be a Mustang!

Hawai'i Bowls, not Bowls in Hawai'i.

We have only played in two Hawai'i Bowls.

The TReed tap forward to recover the fumble was genius. He was great.

They all three ended their college careers in style. I have no doubt each will make an impact in the the NFL

Gilberts first INT was a tipped ball. Not exactly a bad read or missed throw. His second INT was just the DB wanting it (and being stronger than) our receiver. That was just a great play and pure effort. That wasn't gilbert at all but hats off to the DB. Gilbert improved late in the game and moving the ball was a big plus as Fresno needed 3 and 4 possessions and never got time or the ball to close the gap.

Yeah, that first int was a tip. Gilbert threw hard. I would suggest that our receivers either figure out how to catch the hard throw or Gilbert needs to learn to soften his quick passes a bit. But, a good night and a hopeful sign of things to come.
